Commerce Returns Privacy Policy

Commerce Returns "the App” provides eCommerce Returns Software "the Service" to companies who maintain an online store. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your online store.

Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your online store:

  • Customer's address and contact information
  • Order line items
  • All other order details such as, but not limited to: Purchase Price, Purchase Date, Discounts, etc.
We do not obtain or store sensitive payment detail such as credit card information, banking information. We may store the Payment Method / Category type (ie, "PayPal", "Visa", "Mastercard", "Bitcoin").

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to: Communicate with you; Optimize or improve the App; and Provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

Sharing Your Personal Information

If a third party requests your personal information, we will refuse to share it unless you give us permission or we are legally required. When we are legally required to share your personal information, we will tell you in advance, unless we are legally forbidden.

Your rights over your information

Depending on how you use Commerce Returns, you may have the right to request access to, correct, amend, delete, port to another service provider, restrict, or object to certain uses of your personal information (for example, direct marketing). We will not charge you more or provide you with a different level of service if you exercise any of these rights.

If you return something from a Commerce-Return's powered returns portal and wish to exercise these rights over information about your return, you need to directly contact the merchant you interacted with. We are only a processor on their behalf, and cannot decide how to process their information. As such, we can only forward your request to them to allow them to respond. We will of course help our merchants to fulfill these requests by giving them the tools to do so and by answering their questions.

Where we send your information

To operate our business, we may send your personal information outside of your state, province, or country, including to the United States. This data may be subject to the laws of the countries where we send it. When we send your information across borders, we take steps to protect your information, and we try to only send your information to countries that have strong data protection laws.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and when providing our services. We store things like
